I have been there both for dinner and brunch. Both times, the whole experience was fabulous. The food is exceptional. Attention to detail, fantastic combination of tastes and textures. All parts of the meals were great. The service is excellent as well. Warm and welcoming, the staff makes you feel like you are coming home while delivering spotless professional service. A true gem in at the end of the Annapolis valley.

Fantastic restaurant just outside of Annapolis Royal proper. The chef has great flavour profiles in his dishes, and the service was excellent. Thanks to D'Arcy for the great evening! I had the pork belly and a smoked old fashioned to start, then the gnocchi and some wine for the main course, and finally the apple clafoutis with some apple cream liqueur from Grand Pre. They were also really good about accommodating my friend's vegan diet, and made a couple of dishes specifically for her. Highly recommend this place to anyone who is near Annapolis Royal.

Without a doubt this is one of the best restaurants in all of Atlantic Canada and possibly the country. My partner and I came here for the Valentine's Weekend prix fixe and were blown away by the quality, value, attention to detail, ambiance, and level of service. The butter-poached lobster with truffle shavings was probably the best lobster we had ever had in all of Nova Scotia, and the beef tenderloin was perfectly cooked and seasoned, with a true melt-in-your-mouth quality. We ordered the wine pairing with our meal and were delighted to find that all four courses were paired with local NS wines, which perfectly complemented each course. This restaurant could easily stand among the most critically-acclaimed fine dining establishments in Toronto and beyond, and I cannot recommend it enough.

Founder's House consistently delivers an incredible experience with its outstanding food, ambience, and service! I've celebrated New Year's Eve here multiple times and visited on other occasions while in the area. Even though I don't live nearby, any visit to Annapolis wouldn't be complete without stopping for dinner at Founder's House, when it's open. The service is consistently fast and attentive, while the food is always perfect!

Amazing Brunch!! The mushroom croquet madame was literally the best ever! And the English breakfast - wow - especially the sausages (we hear they are made specially for the restaurant) and the beans! So so good. Thanks for making our day Founders House!

A wonderful experience. This is first-class dining. It made our honeymoon vacation in Nova Scotia. From the minute we stepped into the restaurant until the time we left, we felt pampered. We chose the 7 course chefs' choice with the wine pairing. Our host was extremely knowledgeable and informed us of what to expect from each wine as we enjoyed them with our food. You will not be disappointed if you dine here.

I've had the absolute pleasure of dining at Founders House several times and also enjoying brunch there. It is extraordinary! It is amazing to have this quality of a dining experience right here in rural Nova Scotia. Chef Chris Pyne really delivers - I've had the flat iron steak, the chicken two ways, the calamari, the haddock, and the caesar salad, and the pork belly - everything was incredibly flavourful and perfectly prepared and plated. I'm still thinking about the pork belly and that was the very first thing I tried!! The desserts I've tried include the Annapolis Apple Clafoutis, Peanut Butter “Pie”, and the deliciously decadent Chocolate Cremeux - all delicious and all perfectly sized for sharing. This restaurant is on regular rotation now for my husband and I - the food and decor along with the incredible views make this place a must try!

What an incredible dining experience! We loved every bit of our meals - from the wonderful servers who explained the courses beautifully and made wonderful recommendations for beverage choices to the meal itself. The chef was even able to make a change to a course to remove shellfish from the second course. I hope to get back there soon!
